Kingdoms of Cards - Poem
Ed: Here’s hoping Tumblr keeps the formatting on this post…
————
Two kings on thrones of
iron and gold
married to queens
Dressed in black and red.
Two kingdoms of cards, paper and stone:
On the gilded throne,
I sit,
the red-haired king married
to a queen
Dressed in black.
I hold the hearts
of a People
without number,
digging up dirt with brand...

I sit in a bright room, fluorescent lights pouring light down onto my tired body. Sticky sweat dribbles out of pores, rolls off my back onto a wooden chair. The sweat, a byproduct of the heated air streaming out of several steel grates firmly planted in the concrete underneath my feet.
I’ve been strapped to the chair for days, weeks, months. So it seems. Time stands still in a place like...

Three Black Circles
Three Black Circles
The size of the tall, wooden fence impresses you as you come closer to it. You’ve never been out this far from the small, red barn that has been your home for the past six months, since you were bought by the fat, hairy Man at the farmer’s market.
Thank the Maker he left the doors unlocked, you think.
You turn your white neck around and look at the barn. You stare at the...

Wind is magic
From a writing exercise…
Wind is magic
I like the wind
scented, sent from
far off lands,
to blow in
fantasy-sand.
I remember
Candy-apples
On sand from
Glass slippers,
petals from flowers
Touched by plump pumpkins.
It touches skin,
Brings happy thoughts
Far-far from grown-up
Wrongs.
The wind whisks me
past the second star,
to pirate ships, shirtless boys
Playing with little...
TLAB, worst movie ever? A pointless rant.
The Last Airbender makes Star Wars: The Phantom Menace look like a freaking masterpiece, a beautiful artistic expression of wonder alongside Oscar-Winning performances. I kid you not. The Last Airbender (please don’t confuse it with the awesome TV show) is horrible. Hovering between 1-10% on Rotten Tomatoes, this film deserved every “boo” it received at the end of the midnight...

My (almost) final thoughts on the LOST finale and...
Brilliant. That’s the word that summarizes this series as a whole. One giant novel played out on the small screen. Still, last night’s finale has a lot of fans perturbed. Big time *SPOILERS* ahead. Questions that will go unanswered, forever:
1. What is the island? Is it sentient? How does it affect life off-island as seen in season 4?
2. Who were the egyptians that inhabited the...

An Obituary To the Original Xbox Live
Many hours we spent,
Guns in hand-molded buttons,
Meeting polygonal friends,
We never knew existed.
Halo 2, Crimson Skies,
Lightbearers with Dolby bullets
480possibilities
Black headset (good VoIP),
Cursing racists (the downside).
Faithkeeper, Presentlight, Barok,
hilaryduff (I kid you not).
Yes, Firespartan too.
RIP Original Xbox Live.
Time of Death:
April 15, my birthday.
